This placename has a dual meaning – it is the name both of a street and of the district which has grown up around it.
Since the Middle Ages, the name Vaugueux has designated the whole of this valley located between the ducal castle and the high ground on which the collegiate church of Saint-Sepulcre is built.
With the occasional wooden building, this popular district has kept its mediaeval charm. The pedestrian precinct attracts strollers night and day.
The Vaugueux is home to a host of restaurants.
